Intern at In2Metals Explorer

A summer internship assisting with the desktop study of an early-stage Cu-Mo-Au exploration project in the Kyzylkum desert, Uzbekistan. Here, I:
– Compiled, geolocated and digitised historical geological maps, and drillhole and trench collars in QGIS
– Developed a centralised geodatabase to assist in the development of the first exploration plans
– Was exposed to the planning of soil sampling, trench and drilling programs
– Assisted with the soil sampling program during a two week site visit
– Contributed to exploration reports while on site

Conducing research, supported by In2Metals Explorer, for my Masters thesis on an orogenic gold target in the Kyzylkum desert, Uzbekistan. I spent a month carrying out independent field work consisting of geological mapping and core logging.
