Project Geologist
Position: Project Geologist
Scope
We are currently moving into a new resource phase of exploration, and are accepting applications for a Project Geologist to fill a leadership role at our projects in Ontario, Canada. The role is a full-time permanent position and will report directly to the site-based Exploration Manager. Competitive salary, benefits package, and equity participation are included. The site office is located in Timmins, Ontario and work shifts are generally 20 days on and 10 days off with flexibility in work schedule depending on place of residence and seasonality of field activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities for this position are:
- Establish and maintain a safe and environmentally conscientious work environment
- Execution of field programs
- Collaborate with technical team to identify and prioritize prospecting and drilling targets
- Core-logging and day-to-day management of drilling programs
Skills and Qualifications
The skills required for this position are generally in-line with candidates having at least 4 years of industry experience including:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology
- Skill-set in data integration and targeting for orogenic gold deposits
- Experience in field-based collection and interpretation of geological and structural data
- Strong background in GIS and 3D software programs such as ArcGIS Pro, Geosoft, and LeapFrog
- Ability to work in a team environment based on mentoring and relationship-building
