RC Driller’s Helper
Northspan is a drilling company based in Kelowna, British Columbia. We specialize in exploration drilling using our light-weight reverse circulation drills. We drill for both major and junior mining companies in diverse environments across Canada. Our aim is to provide our clients with a high-quality product in a safe and sustainable manner. For the upcoming 2026 field season, we are currently looking for driller’s helpers for various projects in northern Canada. The helper reports to the driller and is an important part of the drill crew. Previous drilling industry experience, including work with heli-portable drills, is a valuable asset.
Northspan offers:
-Competitive wages starting from $450 per day
-An additional 10% (including 5% vacation pay, and 5% as an allowance for statutory holiday pay) added to every paycheque

Responsibilities and Duties
The helper assists the driller with the operation and maintenance of reverse circulation drilling equipment. The helper must work safely and must follow instructions and work procedures to ensure safe and productive drilling operations. The driller’s helper position is physically demanding, and work sites can be located anywhere in Canada, usually in remote camps with little or no access to towns or normal amenities.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must:
-Be legally eligible to work in Canada
-Pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and be able to work in remote dry camps for several weeks at a time
-Have a health and safety priority mindset, good work ethic, good communication skills and a positive work attitude
-Follow workplace safety instructions, regulations, procedures and policies
-Be well organized and a team player
-Be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
-Be able to work on day shift or night shift outdoors in all weather conditions
-Be willing to be clean-shaven and wear a fitted respirator when required
-Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
