Introduction

Snowline Gold is a Yukon-based mineral exploration company focused on developing our greenfield, district-scale gold system in the Selwyn Basin. We are building a new kind of exploration company by setting new standards in social and environmental responsibility and we need smart, talented, and hard-working people to help advance our exploration-stage projects during the 2023 summer season.

Details

You will be contributing to a collaborative team environment focused on safely exploring Snowline’s extensive land package to generate new geological ideas by collecting high-quality data with an eye on making new discoveries and growing out the team to allow for continued successes. Field Technicians will be part of a 5-person fly camp from roughly June through August before transitioning to Snowline’s primary fly-in camp to support the drill program in eastern Yukon.

Key Responsibilities

Fly Camp

  • Collecting soil samples and accurately recording their characteristics in a digital device
  • Organisation and shipment of samples
  • Adherence to health and safety protocols and ensuring a high standard is met
  • Participating in the operation of the 5-person fly camp including cooking meals, keeping a clean site, and general camp tasks

Main Camp

  • Ensure best practices for logging, sampling, and database management are followed
  • Loading, unloading and moving core boxes as required
  • Utilise technology and digital data capture
  • Other duties as required, including geoteching drill core, database management, core cutting, and general camp support, particularly after transitioning to the in-camp role

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recent graduate of a Geological sciences program or related technical diploma. Relevant field experience will be considered in lieu
  • Previous experience soil sampling, silt sampling, prospecting, mapping and working in fly camps are all considered assets
  • Experience with digital data entry and management an asset
  • Level 1 First Aid or Wilderness First Aid

Schedule

Rotational: 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, approximate start of early June with contract through to early October
