RC Driller
Northspan is a contract drilling company based in Kelowna, BC. Since 1981, we specialize in reverse circulation (RC) drilling using our in-house designed drills. We drill for both major and junior mining companies in different environments and climates all over Canada. We focus on workplace safety and on providing a high-quality, professional service.
Job Details
For the upcoming 2026 field season, we are looking to add experienced RC drillers to our staff of dedicated and professional employees. Successful candidates will be physically fit, drug-free and able to fit into a work environment committed to safety, respect, work ethic and quality of service. The job involves working in fly-in/fly-out camp locations often in the northern parts of our country. The typical rotation schedule is 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Workdays are 12 hours and we mostly run both day and night shifts.
The driller
· reports to on-site foreman or to the Drilling Superintendent.
· is responsible for the safe operation, repair and maintenance of the drilling equipment and for the health and safety of the drill crew.
· follows all workplace policies and safe work procedures and sets the example for helpers and samplers in both safety and quality.
· communicates with on-site geologists and client representatives.
Northspan
· offers competitive wages based on qualifications ($600-$825 per day).
· pays an additional 10% statutory holiday and vacation pay on top of daily wage.
· pays for travel days to and from work.
· pays for flights, accommodation and meals when working or travelling.
· provides PPE such as hard hats, hearing protection, protective glasses, respirators and work gloves.

You need
· at least 1 year of RC drilling experience.
· to be drug-free and consent to pre-employment drug test.
· to hold a valid Standard First Aid + CPR Level C or equivalent first aid certificate.
· to be able to work in remote camp locations for several weeks at a time.
· to be clean-shaven and wear a fitted respirator when required.
· to have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
· to communicate (read/write/speak) effectively in English.
· to be legally authorized to work in Canada.
