Field Assistant

Job Purpose:

To assist in conducting geophysical services on behalf of our clients in the detection and delineation of economic ore deposits. Assisting in the collection of geophysical data will include; the setup and movement of wire and equipment, as well as equipment maintenance in the evening.

Core Responsibilities:

Assist with layout and movement of wire, cables and electrode.
Assist in the operation geophysical instrumentation.
Assist with the inventory and maintenance of equipment.
Follows safe operating procedures and understands the SJ safety policy.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

A field assistant shall have a background in field/bush work, with any knowledge in the fields of mechanics, geophysics, geology, physics or earth and ocean sciences considered an asset. An ability to travel on short notice to remote areas with varied climates for extended periods of time is essential. The field assistant should be in good physical shape and be a team player.
